Derwentbridge

This is the club's 'old-faithful' 'OO' gauge layout and has attended several exhibitions over the years. It represents a double tracked through station on a secondary ex-MR line through the Peak District.

Layouts often have very odd beginnings. Derwentbridge was built to utilise a scratch built junction intended for a aborted attempt to model the SDJR station at Blandford Forum! After much wailing and gnashing of teeth 'Heart-break Junction' was made to operate and the current layout was built to a high standard around it.
At present the club is improving the goods yard and station area, with a new limestone quarry scenic board being added.

Derwentbridge is still in regular use on club running nights and can now utilise DCC control as well as conventional DC control.
